Serafina vs CHANI vs ChatGPT: which one is actually for you?

CHANI is an astrology app. Its own homepage describes it as “All the astro with no AI slop — in-depth astro insights from real astrologers to support your real life,” and its app page calls it “the #1 astrology app for manifestation, self-discovery, mindfulness, and healing,” with content “written by astrologers, not ai.”

The App Store listing describes a free tier including daily horoscopes, moon phases, the weekly podcast, current planetary positions and birth chart overviews; premium adds detailed birth chart readings, personalized transits, “Your Year Ahead” readings, guided meditations, manifestation rituals and affirmation libraries. It runs on iOS and Android. The listed in-app subscriptions are $11.99 monthly and $107.99 annually.

Nothing on the pages we read describes business, offer-building, or content tools. That is not a gap in CHANI. It is a different product doing a different thing, and doing it with real craft.

A general AI assistant — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, used raw — is the best drafting and research partner most people will ever have, and it starts every conversation from nothing. What a raw chat window does not have is a durable picture of you. It does not know your chart, your last launch, the sentence that landed, or the fact that you are unreachable on Monday mornings. You can paste that context in every time; most people do it twice and then stop.

CHANI is also cheaper, at a listed $11.99 a month against Serafina’s $47, and it is a phone-native app with a substantial free tier. If your question is “what is this week asking of me,” that is the answer. Serafina is for a different question: “what am I building, and what do I do about it today.”

For speed, breadth and cost, a raw AI window wins and it is not close. Research, code, translation, a first draft of anything, a hundred subject lines — a general assistant does all of it faster than any specialized tool, on a free tier or for roughly the price of a lunch.
