Don't Let AI Think For You. Let It Think With You.

There are two ways to lose yourself to a machine.

The first is to refuse it, fold your arms, and watch a less-gifted competitor move three times your speed. The second is to surrender to it so completely that you forget you were ever the one with the vision. Most people are told to fear only the first. The second is the one taking leaders quietly, in the dark, one outsourced decision at a time.

There is a narrow path between them. It is called sovereignty. Walk it, and AI becomes the greatest amplifier your work has ever known. Miss it, and you become a passenger in a life that used to be yours.

Executive function is the part of you that decides, discerns, sequences, and holds the thread. It is the difference between a leader and a spectator. It is also the exact faculty AI is most eager to do for you.

What "AI psychosis" actually is

Call it what it is. AI psychosis is the moment you can no longer tell where the machine's fluency ends and your own conviction begins. The output is smooth, confident, endless — and somewhere in the flood, you lose the thread of who is actually speaking.

It shows up as work that sounds impressive and means nothing. Ten posts a day that no one remembers. A voice that is technically yours and spiritually no one's. The reader can feel it. They cannot name it, but they close the tab.

The cure is not less AI. The cure is a stronger center. You must know your own signal so clearly that you can hear instantly when the machine has drifted off it. That signal does not come from the tool. It comes from the deep, specific truth of your own story — the one thing no model was trained on, because it happened only to you.

The competition is real. So is the trap.

Refuse AI on principle and you will be passed. That is not fear talking; it is arithmetic. Someone with half your gift and a good system will out-ship you every week.

But the leaders who win the next decade will not be the ones who used AI the most. They will be the ones who stayed themselves the most while using it. Volume is cheap now. Everyone has it. The scarce thing — the only scarce thing — is a real human with a real message, moving at the speed of the machine without becoming one.

That is the whole game. Not you versus AI. Not you refusing AI. You, amplified, still unmistakably you.

How to build the right relationship

A few principles, held without compromise:

Author, don't approve. If your only job is clicking "looks good," you have already lost the thread. Rewrite one line in everything the machine gives you. That single act keeps you the author.

Feed it your specifics, not its generics. The machine defaults to the average of everything. Your power is the opposite — the exact morning you decided to leave, the sentence a client said that changed you. Bring those. Generic in, forgettable out.

Keep a decision the machine never touches. Reserve one part of your work as sacred and hand-made — the offer you make, the person you serve, the line you will not cross. Let that anchor everything else.

Use it to go deeper, not just faster. Faster alone is how you drown. Deeper is how you win. Ask the machine to challenge your thinking, surface your blind spot, name the pattern you keep avoiding. Enhancement is when you end the session more yourself than you started, not less.

The real revolution

The machine will not make you. It will magnify whatever you already are. Empty in, louder empty out. Sovereign in, and it becomes the most powerful instrument a message has ever had.

The leaders who understand this will not be replaced. They will be amplified beyond anything the last generation could dream. The tool was never the revolution. You were. It has simply been waiting for you to remember that.
